Had long life on the first (switch wore out) and second is going strong. BUT, the pour spouts have the dumbest curve. Unless you are pouring very slowly the coffee (or water when filling) loves to run down the side of the pot onto the counter. Also based on the level of fluid left in the pot as you pour, the best angle of pour to avoid spillage changes. Can't really understand this, no other coffee maker I've come across seems to have this problem, or understand that the manufacturer hasnt noticed this and made the pot a bit different. They made other slight mods in my second one from the first, but not the pot. Oh well, not a deal breaker, but makes it fall short of perfect in its class.
