This WaterSentinel refrigerator water filter contains a compressed carbon block which provides tremendous capacity to remove and/or reduce impurities and sediment that may be present in your drinking water. The carbon block has millions of active sites on its surface and within the structure which can absorb impurities like a sponge, and can adsorb and hold other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities very similar to the way a catalytic converter works in your automobile. These processes ensure that you are getting the cleanest and best tasting water possible. This economical filter will provide you with fresh and clean tasting water and ice cubes. Can be used to replace the following filters: Amana - WF30, WF40, WF401, 12527301, 12527302, 12527303, 12527305, 12527307, 12527309, 12527504, 12388401, 12388402, 12388403, 12388406, 12388407, 12319801, 67003634 Sears/Kemore 46-9014, 469014, 9014, 9014P, 04609014000, 46-9904, 469904, 9904, 9904P, 4609904000
It does not fit, period.
I have an Amana refrigerator. Have been buying the Amana brand filters for 10 years. Decided to give the Water Sentinel brand a try. They simply don't fit. I'm incredibly disappointed because the box has the replacement model number (WF401) right on it. No go.
Does not fit.
These filters are a recent answer to the expense of replacement filters, and they are NOT the answer. My Kenmore takes filter #46-9014, a number clearly marked on the package of the Water Sentinel. And it does not fit. I trued screwing it in for 15 minutes, finally got what I thought was the "sweet spot", and then screwed it in. Upon trying to get water out of the fridge, water sprayed everywhere and did not come out of the spigot. Bad product.
