My only recommendation is to double the amount of water initially used to flush out a new filter. I think 4 gallons was recommended, I used 8. I noticed a black residue come out of the filter when I first started to flush it (I'm sure that's normal and why it's recommended). There's really no way to check on the filter to see if it's working properly, so I plan to replace it every year. I use 4 gallon filtered bottled water anyway. If you're hooked up to city water, perhaps you'd want to change the filter more often. So far, so good. I recommended this filter. In fact, I think it's required on the B150's to keep the warranty valid.

Water filter for Keurig 3000 brewer The filter was easy to install and appears to work well - i.e. remove particulates and chlorine from the water supply (city water). I plan to replace every 6 months as recommended.
