I researched kettles and we really like this one for the price. We've had it for a couple of weeks. It holds a lot of water, if needed, and it heats up quickly. It does get hot on the metal part, but that hasn't been a problem. Nice easy access opening on top for refilling. I wish it were a little cooler looking...it's slightly clunky. But it's definitely an improvement over the white plastic one we used to have.
