I was not disappointed I got it today and couldn't wait to use it, I basically have all hardwood floors except in my bathroom and kitchen my hardwood floors look like they were waxed the gleam is wonderful. I am happy with this purchase. It steams within seconds and it makes a sound to let you know its ready. As for the short cord I have noticed that lately more products have short cords so I have a extension cord on standby for this type of situation.
