So far, delighted!
I purchased this unit in November 2014 to replace an Essick evaporative humidifier I'd been using for years. The Essick worked fine, but--like many evaporative humidifiers--made a glug-blub-glub sound every few minutes because of the water tank design that sometimes woke me up at night.

The short of it is that--a few days in--the OSKAR works at least as well as the Essick while having MUCH quieter fans and making no distracting noises whatsoever.

So far, I'm very happy with my purchase.

A few things to keep in mind: (1) this unit is squat and wide, so if it is placed poorly, it is easy to trip over. Great Design, No-hassles, Worth the Cost
I've been using this humidifier for over 4 months and it continues to work great. This humidifier does what it's meant to do: humidify the air without any hassle. But it excels in reliability over time. Filters are required every 2-3 months and I did a quick 5 minute wash under the sink when I replaced the filters. Also a 2 year warranty.

The documents don't describe how the unit actually works. Imagine a rectangular box sliced in half: on the bottom is a basin for water and four evaporative filters to rest; on the top half are two quiet, powerful fans that draw air from the bottom of the unit.
