The water reservoir is more horizontal in design (like a drawer) rather than my previous model which was designed vertically (like a pitcher). It makes it awkward to fill because the little water level indicator window is not facing you if you’re holding the reservoir with your right hand. You have to turn it around so the water level indicator is facing you so you can see it. This is really important because if you’re trying to “eyeball” the water level and fill it too full, you’ll have a big mess because the pot will overflow. When the water level reaches the full line on the indicator, the reservoir is actually only about half full. The other feature that I don’t like is that the pot is not see-through, so you can’t see how much coffee is left in it. I realize this is necessary...
