I have been used to "hot pots" that one just ... I have been used to "hot pots" that one just filled with water...plugged it in...and unplugged it when the whistle blew. Very simple. 2 pots lasted over 30 years. This one provides really hot water and very quickly. One does need to take care as the outside of the pot and the water view level area also gets hot. And the pot needs to be dry when put on the platform...or one possibly could get zapped. It should be used by a responsible adult...not for children or those individuals that may have a mental challenge.
