Haven't used these before, but I like that these are reusable. Actually, I was reusing the cheaper ones as well (they are washable too. I shake them out, vaccuum the filters, and rinse with soapy water under a full stream of hot running water until clean, and let dry). These replacement filters are made a tad sturdier; will have to see if their longevity is worth the higher price.

Huge performance increase vs just cleaning the old filter I had been vacuuming the original filter with the shopvac for years and reusing it over and over. broke down and bought these replacements. HA! Now its like I have a new dust buster! the RPM jumped way up, air flow took a big increase, effectiveness of the vac is way better. Clearly cleaning the filter is fine but should be limited to a few times and these replacements swapped in every so often.

Just what I needed. Even though other reviewers had issues with these filters being "off label" they certainly worked with my DustBuster. I was unable to acquire these locally and were 4x the cost through Black & Decker.
