I installed the second filter from this 2-pack and again had zero flow. I bought and installed a genuine GE filter from Home Depot and immediately I had full water flow from my dispenser. Closer inspection of these filters appears to reveal that they are not genuine GE filters. There are subtle differences between the filters and the individual boxes appear to be copied from the genuine GE box. I will not purchase these again under any circumstances.

FIlter is great...but expensive Works as advertised. Able to go almost six (6) months between changes. I use this to filter water before I put the water into my coffee maker (which is also filtered). We also drink water at dinner. Taste is great. Only issue is that G.E. has raised their prices dramatically. The cost is getting prohibitive...but you have little choice if you want the water filtration system to work properly.

Filters great in our water I have had our GE fridge for 7 years. I change the water filter when the change light comes on or if the water flow diminishes. You can cheat a bit and turn the change water light off to use the filter longer, but eventually you will notice the difference in water quality/flow. Be sure to change it then. I hate city water. Usually it's the taste that gets me. We had well water for 25 years and the fresh taste (lack of any chemicals) was always appreciated. Moving into this area, we have treated city water which I could not comfortably drink. Luckily the GE fridge had this filter installed. We get all our drinking and coffee making water from the fridge dispenser. Makes a world of difference. This filter is the manufacturer's spec and works great. Never a taste of the chemicals (unless I cheat too long on the change timing). This was my first purchase of this through Amazon (2 units) and they are identical to other sellers and the price is better...
