When I got to the kitchen the water was pouring out of the filter hole which I got to stop with removal of the filter. I don't know why it didn't work as it looked like the old one. Now biting the bullet and will purchase a OEM part.

Did not work We needed the model # NLC240V. This filter did not work for our refrigerator, a side by side kenmore. Find a different alternative if you are looking for the NLC240V (notice the "V" at the end).
